I Applied – Now What?

The DSOHNR will make a referral to the Passport program on your behalf.  Please note that referrals can only be made for people who are at least age 18.  If you have been confirmed eligible but are aged 16 or 17, the DSOHNR will make a referral for you to the Passport Program on your 18th birthday. 

If you do not complete the Adult Developmental Services Application Package, the most Passport funding you can receive is $5,500 / year.  If you are interested in applying for more funding, you will need to complete the Adult Developmental Services Application Package with the DSOHNR. 

A Hamilton-Niagara Passport staff will contact you to let you know that they have received your referral and they will discuss the next steps with you about how to activate your funding.  Our Passport Staff will provide you with specific information about how you can use your funding, they ways you can manage or administer your funding, eligible Passport funding expenses, and how to submit expenses for reimbursement.  For general information about these topics and others, you can visit the Provincial Passport website at: www.passportfunding.ca.
